Hotels near St Audoen's Church, Dublin

Grey limestone walls and a squat square tower rise above Cook Street, where a stone arch in the old city wall opens below the churchyard. St Audoen's Church was begun in the twelfth century by the Anglo-Norman settlers of Dublin, and its name is the Norman form of Ouen, a bishop of Rouen. The church belongs to the Church of Ireland and is a national monument of Ireland, its medieval stonework standing on the high ground of the walled city. From the street a visitor can take in the tower, the round-headed arch known as St Audoen's Arch, and a restored stretch of the city wall running beside the terraced churchyard gardens. Rail travellers come in at Dublin Heuston, and air travellers at Dublin Airport. Stay in Dublin
