Hotels in Tiergarten, Berlin

Tiergarten wraps around Berlin's great central park, hundreds of acres of woodland, lakes and beer gardens crossed by paths radiating from the golden Victory Column. The elegant embassies of the Diplomatic Quarter, the modernist Hansaviertel housing estate and the Bauhaus Archive design museum edge the greenery, with the Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate at its eastern tip. It suits travellers wanting nature and quiet within walking distance of the landmarks, plus joggers and families. Refined and residential rather than lively, with few shops or bars; the S-Bahn and U-Bahn along the fringes keep the centre and the zoo close.
