Hotels in Friedrichshain, Berlin

Friedrichshain is Berlin's edgy nightlife and street-art stronghold — home to the East Side Gallery murals on the surviving Wall, legendary techno clubs, riverside bars and a young, alternative crowd. Around Boxhagener Platz you'll find weekend markets, cheap eats and a lively, slightly anarchic energy. It suits younger travellers and night owls who came for Berlin's club culture and don't mind raw over refined. The U- and S-Bahn connect you across the city. It's grittier than Prenzlauer Berg next door — which is exactly why so many visitors who want 'real' Berlin choose it.
